Typing Lesson for Kyudo Learners (…What?!)

It happens more often than less, before my kyudo training sessions, that simple thoughts comes into my mind that become interesting when related to kyudo. And when I find out about such goodies, I forward them to you, my reader. As I started blogging, touch-typing (typing without looking at the keyboard and at the text you’re typing) became more important than it was before. So I am learning and practising, pursuing two essential aspects of it, if I want to be like a “pro”: accuracy and speed. Now, if I couldn’t have both all of the time, I would favour accuracy when I’d publish a blog post or I’d release...

You Are A Competent Beginner If:

… If you are sure about what you want, you check how it’s done by watching some experts and talking to beginners like you, you prepare for the success. That’s it. But come take a look if I can do this myself, by telling you how I did it so far. Clarify and state your purpose online. You may be here for your entertainment, or to express your personality, or for making money, or for becoming famous, or both, or for raising money for a great cause you genuinely belive in, or for getting many people connected around a mutual interest… Whatever your purpose is, you want to be efficient in your quest...

Warming-up

When I decided to learn kyudo – the japanese martial art of archery, it was because I understood it was all about improving oneself. Of course, one can pursue self-improvement in so many ways, but kyudo simply attracted me more than any other activities. I had to follow twelve modules course, covered over a six weeks period, in an established dojo, the only one in my country at the time. The learning was pretty intense and I felt like I acquired a ton of information and practice in a very short time. And it was a ton, compared to what I used to know, which was almost nothing. But...

The Beginning Is Near

You know that fulfilling your dreams for a better life will also improve the lives of the people around you: your relatives, your friends, your neighbours and co-workers… The ones that loves you will feel better seeing you happy and fulfilled. Others will simply be okay to see you smiling, for they may smile too. Nobody likes to be around unhappy persons. Even people who don’t like you too much would probably understand that it is better to be around “the positive” you. It’s great you want it, just you may not be quite sure when you should take action toward that goal. Your desire is strong (otherwise you couldn’t be reading this, lol)...

To Begin

Beginning is just that: the beginning. What matters is what follows. When we want something, how to start that something is, in fact, the last thing to come into our attention. The first to come in mind is the desired outcome, followed by the way to get there and, at last, how to start. Whether you want to start blogging, or want to make money online, or both, like John Chow does, or to raise money for a great cause, or  if you want to change your life on a deep level, or to help others to change theirs for the better, or just to experience some new online trendy...

The Very Second Blog Post

This is the second post on my blog, yet is the beginning one. I haven’t written a first post, because it was scary. I procrastinated for weeks now, because I imagined it has to be important. Of course, because it is the first one, it is the Debut, I must prepare it patiently and wisely, for everybody to judge it. I titled this post “The Very  Second Blog Post” because very is only suited for extremes, like “the very first” or “the very last”, although “first” means, you guessed, first, so it wouldn’t need to strengthen the idea of being the first by using this “very”, unless you’re not...
