It Won’t Help Saying “It Won’t Help”

"Smoking won't help solving that particular problem" you're told when you light one. Like you didn't know that already. Like you're smoking in order to solve that problem. Like you were that stupid! I remember how I wanted to smoke even more when hearing that, because not only I had to deal with the problem itself, but also with the frustration that the person telling me that (with the best intentions) didn't understand the reason why I was smoking. The fact is I didn't understand it myself. I just felt I wanted to smoke. And, if you're still a smoker, you don't understand it, either. Find the clue in this video.

The “Benefit – Problem – Solution” Approach

You’re fighting your cravings and wonder if they’ll ever go away… If you keep fighting them, they won’t and I explain why – and what to do, in the spontaneous video I just made. In the article below, I go deeper into revealing how our educated thinking stays in the way to freedom and I also teach you the simple shift you must make to get yourself to the freedom you deserve. I was pretty lazy and I didn’t intend to publish it, but I make an important and very useful point, that you can apply immediately, so I guess it’s worth feeling a little embarrassed, only to help you...

How “Positive Thinking” Ruins Your Quit Smoking Attempts

Studies show that we’re two times more driven by fear/loss motivators than by gain/benefit ones. Basically it comes from a deep ancestral need for security, to make sure we stay away from danger, so that we live and procreate. Rewards are good and we want them, but we can live and procreate with or without them. Indeed, pains of any kind or size, physical or emotional, could move our asses faster than any of the positive motivators. When it comes to smoking, you’d expect that just few of the bad things would be enough to help us quit twice faster than booking the holiday we promised to ourselves to...

Get Back Into Your Comfort Zone

I love staying within my comfort zone. Do you? I thought so, that’s why my message to you is “get out of back into your comfort zone”. It’s called comfort zone because it is… comfortable. Duh, I know. The video down the page is a short conclusion of what you read in this post, so I sincerely recommend you read it. But if you’re in a hurry, scroll down to the bottom of this article and watch it now. Anyway, I try to sell you on reading more by asking you this question: Why do so many strong, influential people out there encourage you to “get out of your comfort zone”? Of course...

When Willpower Crumbles… Heck, You Didn’t Need It Anyway!

It’s one of the strongest concerns that prevent smokers from even trying to quit. If you are one, you know you have it and used it successfully in other areas of your life, but when it comes to quitting smoking, your shoulders fall a little, you look down, you feel awful and admit to yourself… or to a really close one: “I just don’t have enough willpower…”. That’s what I talk about in the videos below. About why you don’t need it, actually! I know it was awful for me to belive I don’t have willpower and not only I felt being let down about ever escaping from smoking,...

Survey Yourself

As a smoker, you’d never think you can help others quit. It wouldn’t make sense… at first. But realise that, like in any class, when you raise your hand and ask a question, all other pals of yours will learn from the anser you get. But it gets better! How’d you like the teacher to ask YOU for HELP to improve the stuff he’s teaching you?! To have him asking “What would you like to learn next?” and then see him taking notes on what you say, prepare the next lesson and teach you exactly what you’ve asked for, and more? Me? When I want something that someone else has, I ask. You have...

Offer Help Wisely

Lucky to get out of smoking before getting into health trouble (who knows, maybe later?…), I kept trying to tell others how there is light on the other side of the fence. I was brutally rejected sometimes, by people who couldn’t belive it is possible to make your quit easy. They are convinced they know better, no matter what you say, they won’t listen. If you tried the same, it happened to you, too, you know what I’m saying. I finally understood that it’s a waste of everybody’s time. Theirs, because they don’t see any benefit from such discussion, on the contrary. I’d also waste my time on the...
